Warranty

 

Mold-Masters product components shall be warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the specified periods from date of shipment to the BUYER. All other system and mold components shall be considered excluded from this warranty. In the event a defect is identified, Mold-Masters will repair or replace defective components covered under the warranty during the warranty period. Any repaired or replaced defective parts are guaranteed only until the expiration of the original warranty period.

Warranty periods for Mold-Masters components vary by product. Please speak with a Mold-Masters representative to confirm the time periods that are specific to your product and order.

Eligibility Requirements

The hot half must be operated only under normal conditions as approved by Mold-Masters (specified temperatures/ranges, resin & grade, injection pressures, cycle times, etc) and follow the recommended Mold-Masters heater start-up, shut-down and all other standard operating procedures as detailed in the hot runner manual.

Maintenance

Customer must ensure the appropriate mold preventative maintenance & service is completed according to Mold-Masters requirements. The results must be clearly documented and are to be made available to Mold-Masters for audit at any time. Servicing your mold with non-OEM spare parts or making repairs using procedures that do not conform to normal Mold-Masters guidelines may affect performance and/or damage your mold. Mold-Masters reserves the right to void your warranty under such circumstances. Mold-Masters highly recommends enrolling in Mold-Masters Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure all guidelines are properly followed and these conditions are met for your warranty to remain valid.

Failure to meet all eligibility and maintenance requirements shall void this warranty. Any deviations from these requirements must be agreed to in writing by Mold-Masters, by those with authorization to do so, without exception. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all terms of this warranty are met to ensure continued validity for the full term.

In order to make a warranty claim the original customer must submit the following:

  • Product sales order number,
  • All warranty related documents and written deviation approvals,
  • All service and maintenance records.

MOLD-MASTERS’ sole and exclusive remedy offered under this warranty is to repair or replace, either at the BUYER’s plant or FOB MOLD-MASTERS’ plant, as determined by MOLD-MASTERS, free of charge any Product which is found during the said warranty period by MOLD-MASTERS inspection to be defective in workmanship or material. BUYER shall deliver the defective Product upon request by MOLD-MASTERS to the MOLD-MASTERS plant at BUYER’s expense. Product shall not be returned to MOLD-MASTERS for warranty evaluation without prior issuance of an authorization number by MOLDMASTERS and MOLD-MASTERS shall not be liable for repair work done or costs incurred by BUYER. The BUYER shall, without any costs, provide MOLD-MASTERS the time and opportunity necessary to carry out subsequent improvement or replacement of goods and shall provide any necessary assistance free of charge.

Mold-Masters reserves the right to inspect the claimed defective part(s) to determine if the malfunction is the result of a defect covered by this warranty. This warranty will cover only defects arising under normal usage, and shall not apply, nor will Mold-Masters assume any responsibility, if the failure was caused by the following:

1. Operation of product with a non-Mold-Masters controller 2. Misuse or abuse 3. Negligence 4. Accidental or physical damage 5. Damage caused by installation, operation, storage or maintenance work, which breach Mold-Masters written instructions or maintenance procedures 6. Repairs made by unauthorized parties and/or with unauthorized parts 7. Improper set up or altered products 8. Improper adjustments 9. Operation above Mold-Masters recommendations 10. Failures due to contaminated lines 11. Damage caused by auxiliary equipment or accessories which affect the operation of the hot runner (e.g. Chillers, dryers, non-Mold-Masters temperature controllers) 12. Failure to operate, service and/or maintain the unit in the manner specified by the “owner’s manual” 13. Damage and wear to components due to processing abrasive, aggressive or corrosive resins.

NO WARRANTY, ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OTHER THAN THE ABOVE WARRANTY IS MADE WITH REGARD TO THIS PRODUCT. MOLD-MASTERS DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE, AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL MOLD-MASTERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY COSTS, ATTORNEY FEES, EXPENSES, LOSSES OR DELAYS ALLEGED TO BE AS A CONSEQUENCE OF ANY DAMAGE TO, FAILURE OF, OR DEFECT IN ANY PRODUCT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS FOR LOSS OF PROFITS.
